Life path numbers 1–9, and the planets behind them

Updated

Your life path number — the bhagyank of Indian numerology — is reduced from your full birth date and read as the broad direction of a life. In the Chaldean tradition each digit from 1 to 9 is ruled by one of the nine planets of Jyotish, so every number below is read through its planet’s classical character.

How the life path is calculated

Add every digit of your birth date and keep reducing the total to a single digit, pausing only at the master numbers 11, 22 and 33. The life path is one of several core numbers — the birth-day number, expression, soul urge and personality each describe a different facet, and a reading weighs them together.
