Terms of Service

1. The Service

Ask My Astro is a Vedic astrology and numerology application. Charts and numbers are computed in your browser, and an AI assistant answers your questions. You can use the Service either with your own AI provider API key (“BYOK”) or by signing in and using prepaid credits (the “Wallet”).

2. Not professional advice

The Service is provided for informational and personal-guidance purposes only. Astrological and numerological content is interpretive and is not professional advice of any kind. It is not a substitute for advice from a qualified professional, and you should not rely on it for medical, psychological, legal, financial, relationship, career or other important decisions. Always consult an appropriately qualified professional. You use the Service and act on its output at your own risk. Any suggestion, interpretation or recommendation the Service offers is provided for your consideration only. You decide, at your sole discretion, whether and how to act on it, and we bear no liability for the outcome of that decision.

3. Eligibility

You must be able to form a binding contract to use the Service. You are responsible for all activity under your account and for any credits bought using your payment method, including where someone else used it. Only use payment details you are authorised to use.

4. Accounts

Wallet features require signing in (currently via Google). You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your sign-in secure. Provide accurate information and notify us of any unauthorised use.

5. Credits, pricing & payments

• Wallet chat is metered in credits. Each message costs a fixed number of credits, shown in the app before you send.
• You buy credits in prepaid packs. Credits have no cash value, are not a deposit or e-money, and cannot be transferred or exchanged for cash.
• Prices, pack sizes and the credits-per-message rate may change; changes apply to future purchases, not credits already bought.
• Payments are processed by our third-party payment processor. We do not receive or store your card or banking details. Applicable taxes may be added.
• Credits are made available after your payment is confirmed.
• We may grant promotional or bonus credits (for example, on sign-up). Bonus credits have no cash value, are non-refundable, and any such offer may be changed or withdrawn at any time. The sign-up bonus is limited to one per person and per device; creating multiple accounts to claim it more than once is abuse and may lead to forfeiture of the bonus credits and suspension of the accounts involved.

6. Refunds & cancellations

Because credits unlock a digital service that is delivered immediately, purchases are generally non-refundable once credits are added, except where a refund is required by applicable law or where credits were charged in error or not delivered. If you believe you were charged incorrectly or a message failed after being charged, contact us at support@askmyastro.in and we will investigate and, where appropriate, restore credits or issue a refund. Nothing in these Terms limits rights you have under mandatory consumer-protection law.

7. Bring-your-own-key (BYOK)

If you use your own API key, your key and messages go directly from your browser to your AI provider. You are responsible for your key, your provider account, any charges they impose, and compliance with your provider’s terms. We are not a party to that relationship. Because your BYOK conversation never reaches our servers, we cannot review, moderate or apply any content safeguard to it. You are solely responsible for your own use of the Service in this mode, including the content of your conversations.

8. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• use the Service unlawfully, or to generate unlawful, harmful, hateful or infringing content;
• attempt to disrupt, overload, reverse-engineer, scrape or circumvent the Service, its rate limits or its security;
• resell or provide the Service to third parties except as expressly permitted;
• use the Service to impersonate others or misrepresent your identity.

We may suspend or terminate access for violations.

9. Intellectual property

The Service, including its software, design and content (excluding your inputs and provider outputs), is owned by us or our licensors and protected by law. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the Service for your personal use. As between you and us, you retain rights to the questions you submit; you grant us the licence necessary to operate the Service (for example, to transmit your message to the AI provider and store your chat history in wallet mode).

10. Availability & changes

We may modify, suspend or discontinue any part of the Service at any time, and we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. We may impose or change usage limits.

11. Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied or statutory, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy and non-infringement. We do not warrant that astrological or AI-generated output is accurate, complete or reliable.

12. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we and our affiliates and suppliers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from or related to your use of the Service. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the amount you paid us for credits in the three (3) months before the event giving rise to the claim. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so some of the above may not apply to you.

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from claims, damages and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your misuse of the Service or violation of these Terms or of any law or third-party right.

14. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms or to protect the Service or other users. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (for example, payment obligations, disclaimers, limitation of liability and governing law) will survive.

15. Governing law & disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Subject to any mandatory consumer-protection rights, the courts of competent jurisdiction in India will have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes arising out of or relating to the Service, and you consent to that jurisdiction.

16. Grievances

For complaints or grievances relating to the Service or these Terms, contact our Grievance Officer at support@askmyastro.in. We will address grievances within the timeframes required by applicable law.

17. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance. The “Last updated” date above shows the current version.
